J.Bu$h is a wordsmith, hip-hop producer, and visual artist on a voyage for growth. Born and raised in Knoxville, TN where he found his passion for music at a early age. He’s an avid practitioner of Hip Hop's core principals, Bu$h aims to spread peace, fun, love, and unity throughout the soundscape he composes, while at the same time, never refusing to shy away from speaking on the harsh truths in his rhymes. Growing up as the youngest of three siblings in a middle class household, he took note of how his parents utilized belief, creativity, and innovation to provide for the little that they had. This translated into 'the tools of survival' in his mind and these same qualities are what he applies to his approach to music.

As a child, his earliest musical influences came from the soulful basslines of Earth, Wind, and Fire, rhythmic drum patterns of A Tribe Called Quest, and the general feel good vibes of 90’s pop music vibrating through the walls of a 3 bedroom apartment in the hood. The spirit of that era of music is not only present in his sound today, but also highlights the stages of growth he lyrically emphasizes on. With this at heart, his gravitation to Hip Hop's principals, as a way of life, was natural. His barrage of rhyme schemes, flow patterns, and drive to get to the crux of an issue are reflective of his desire for himself and everyone around him to grow. His methodical approach to production captures a vibe we're all feeling at some point in our lives.
